Vandaag en morgen brengen Minister van Ontwikkelingssamenwerking Caroline Gennez, Minister van Defensie Ludivine Dedonder en de directeur sub-Sahara Afrika van de FOD Buitenlandse Zaken, Philippe Bronchain – als vertegenwoordiger van Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken Hadja Lahbib die in extremis in Brussel was weerhouden – een werkbezoek aan Niger, om er een pilootproject van de unieke geïntegreerde aanpak – diplomatie, development en defensie - van België te officialiseren.

On Friday May 26th, a diplomatic conference gathering 70 States in Ljubljana (Slovenia) adopted an historic agreement for a new multilateral treaty on mutual legal assistance and extradition for the prosecution of the most serious international crimes before national jurisdictions.

From 21 to 25 May, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, representing His Majesty the King, is leading an economic mission to Senegal. The programme for Monday and Tuesday takes place in the capital, Dakar, where a series of B2B meetings and sectoral workshops, a visit to the Port of Dakar and meetings with the authorities are planned to explore new investment and business opportunities between Belgium and Senegal.
